Hey guys. I’ve had my ‘19 since September. It has 13k miles on it (a lot of highway from job site to job site).
Im a moderate user of the A/C and now that PA weather is heating up it’s time to use it again. Well I turn it on to find the blower only blows hot on normal a/c and really hot on max a/c.
Took it it to the dealer and they reveal that the clutch for the compressor is not engaging therefore the compressor will be replaced under warranty. Tell me it was on back order for a little bit since this has been an issue with a few ‘18-‘19 they’ve seen and had to replace a bit already but it will be in within a few days. ITS BEEN THREE WEEKS!!
Talked to the dealer again, same story. I do see how it isn’t quite their issue but a FoMo issue. So I filed a formal complaint with ford since the part is listed on their site as still on back order.
Has anyone out there had a similar issue with their ac yet?
What is it you plan on discussing with them? If its on a factory back order, they cannot assist.
Not 100% sure yet. I’m looking for a timeline honestly. If it’s going to take a few days or two weeks, not terrible. If it’s something that could take a couple months, time to trade. (Sounds rash haha).
I've had my '19 since November and the A/C works fine. And in my area I'd know right away if it wasn't.
Ditto. November for me too, so didn’t use it much but sure have been lately. I usually run my ac at 68, but for some reason this one is too cold, have to run it at 70.
I’ve seen posts here about the 2019 ac, I thought the jist of them were about not being charged from factory. Try charging it, it’s getting replaced anyways.

I actually did that too! Hooked up to the gauge, checked the pressure etc. All good. I’ve poked at fuses and relays too.
Gotta love it man. Happy they helped you out though.
Yeah I gotta go back to get the various under hood rubber bumpers that they knocked off replaced. Sucks to have your brand new truck in for a major repair but stuff happens. It’s working great now. I’m sure the dealer liked the warranty repair - compressor, dryer, lines, and whatever else they did. And yes, it took 2 visits and a couple weeks to get the parts and it was in the shop for a week. Good luck to you sir!
