I just replaced my turn signal switch and was going to splice the new mires in when I remembered that I had some brass tubing from the hardware store. I had a piece of .125 OD tubing that worked great. Slide it over a pin and give the old pin a tug and out they came.

Those pins have a little barb on them that locks and holds them in the plug. Pushing that tube over the pin depresses it so you can pull the pin out. Actually Lisle makes a tool just for those pins. And you can get new Ford wedge lock pins in male or female at NAPA.
I got mine from Summit Racing when I got the weather pack connector kit for another project.
The tools did not come with the kit and are like mini screw driver type.

Thank you, Christmas, from one sponge brain to another . . . The Old Man is Snoring . . .
There's a very EZ way to replace the T/S switch in these trucks. It'll probably take you longer to get the wheel off than R&R the switch.
Cut the old T/S switch wires off the connector, leaving enough that their colors are visible. Tape the loose wires together and tie a heavy long piece of string to them.
Pull the switch from the column, then tape the new T/S wires together, tie the string to them. Then pull the string from the bottom of the column, the wires will feed down without binding up.
Then pull each old wire from the connector, install the new wires.
