Pro Comps vs. X/B Code Swap vs. ATS?
I have a supplier right down the road in Kansas City that can source Mexican-made springs (General Spring) at $110/side for X codes and $110/side for B codes.
95% highway driving, might consider an upgrade to 34"-35" H/T tires in the future. Want to ensure towing capacity and safety at 10K lbs max.
Thanks!

depends if you leave the B code as is or mod it.
in my opinion running a straight B code unmodified is about the most retarded rear spring setup I have seen on any vehicle. the stock rear spring is a much better setup.
the unmodified B code gives the rear spring a 1000lbs inch spring rate because the primary pack compresses onto the overload at ride height. it is super dumb and simply the wrong spring being used in the wrong way.
running the B code modded by using the 2 bottom leaves from the Ex nets you basically a stock Excursion rear spring rate of 410 lbs inch and some additional ride height.
the X code front spring has a 470 lbs inch spring rate while the front of your Ex really only needs 350-380. why people do this is beyond me but I assure you nobody makes a off the self shock that will be correctly valved for that.
basically the X/B is a mismatch setup that had its day back when you could get these out of the junk yards for a couple of bucks, even a "deal" at retail is to much when you can a better setup for less money. I would run the stock spring before doing a x/B.
the 22210 spring rate is 430 lbs in
the 22415 is 380 lbs inch
for towing to max GCVWR you will want to also run an air bag setup.
bottom line what you are comparing with the X/B is a poor combination of springs that result in a short travel suspension, against a more balanced spring rate Mid travel setup.
