I replaced the front pads on my truck over the weekend and I noticed that the rotors are getting close to the minimum thickness. I am going to be proactive and swap them out either this week or next. I have a '93 F-150 4x4 with the one-piece rotors/hubs. A lot of the websites that I've searched show the one-piece assembly is compatible with RWD trucks and a separate rotor for the 4x4s. I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction in regards to the correct part numbers to buy and a good place to source them. I've found websites like broncograveyard.com that have parts, but I'd prefer to not spend $100+ per rotor if at all possible. I'm also debating swapping out the automatic hubs for Warn manuals, but I can leave that decision to the last minute. Thanks in advance for your help and advice.
Well, the hub/rotor assembly presses together it's not actually one piece.
O'Reilly has them from 30 bucks up to 50 in my area.
What he said.
I don’t have a press so I knock out the wheel studs with a hammer and then use a large drift to hammer them back in. Some people use an old lug nut and washers to draw the stud back through but I think that is hard on the threads.
