Ok so I’ve had an ongoing abs problem for a little while. When turning right and braking the truck pulls to the right and most of the time when going straight. Turning to the left it never does. The brake pedal is also hard when this happens. If it pulls going straight I can flick the steering wheel to the left a little and back straight and it stops doing it. I unplugged the abs pump and all of this stopped. One of the codes in the abs system (c1334) the diagnosis said to clear it and if it comes back replace the abs pump. Did that and it fixed it for about a day. I’m back to square one. When this would happen I could hear a grinding noise coming from the abs pump area. It doesn’t do it after replacing it but still pulls. I’ve also replaced the master cylinder, brake booster, and left front abs sensor. I’ve heard a lot of suggestions about what it could be like caliper right front sensor, I’ve also heard ball joints. I wanted to get some more opinions before I keep throwing parts at it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I'm into an ABS problem myself. 2008 F350 SD.....One thing I also read, adding to your list, is that when front hub bearings are going bad the slight distance the ring moves will throw the ABS sensors off. Don't know how true that is and usually you start to hear the bearing noises from the wheel. I did front rotors and pads and changed dr side caliper. Everything feels good driving and breaking then all of a sudden stearing wheel wants to hang to the left. Tap tap of the breaks and seems fine again. Then 5 minutes later ABS light comes on. Park it and next day start it up and no ABS light. Drive for 5 minutes and ABS light comes on.
Had kinda the same problem with mine, when I was braking under 10mph the abs kicked in and it steered to the right. first I tried to clean the left ring and it didn’t work, but then I sand papered the area where the abs sensor sits down to the metal so the sensor sits lower and the problem was fixed.
