Need Help!!! 2016 No Electrical power.
2016 6.2 XLT was running fine all day with no noticeable issues. Turned off the truck and went into the store, upon returning turned the key and it tried to start with all the lights/chimes etc doing their thing and than suddenly everything turned off and I had no power. Tried to restart and absolutely nothing except for the dome lights and the taillights. No chimes, other lights, gauges, radio, nothing, nothing etc. Obviously no start. There was all sorts of components both in the cab and the engine compartment that were making clicking noises etc. Tried unhooking and reconnecting the battery with no luck. Any ideas what this might be??? Lucky I have one month of bumper to bumper remaining on the truck. Back in 2001 I had an F150 that did the same thing and it turned out to be the ECM. How could I be so lucky that I have two Ford trucks that lose their ECM. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I’d at least start by checking the battery voltage to make sure it’s good. Hopefully it’ll turn out to be a simple bad battery issue.
i usually change my battery every three years. One year I forgot and at about the 40th month, I drove it to the store, shut it off, and it was dead when I tried to leave.
