I somehow deleted my text...

I am wondering if anyone has pictures of the front diff or of the t-case opened up or one of those “exploded views”.
Front diff is a ford 5000lbs and the t-case I’m not sure, I don’t know what these came with.
The trucks info (thanks to numberdummy):

F66 = F600 4WD (gas).

D = 330 2V Heavy Duty FT engine.

V = Kentucky Truck Assembly Plant.

V63764 = 1975.

158" Wheelbase.

F660 = F600 4WD (gas), 21700 lbs. GVWR

4B8

4B = Black Heavy Duty Vinyl / 81 = 81A Standard Cab.

P = Borg-Warner T-19 4 Speed Manual Transmission.

62J:

62 = Rockwell model F106 Single Speed Rear Axle / 6.20-1 / 15,000 lbs. Rear Axle Capacity

J = Ford 5,000 lbs. Capacity Front Axle with Power Steering.

21,700 lbs. Gross Vehicle Weight Rating.

A68009:

A6 = FoMoCo of Canada Ltd., Western Lincoln-Mercury Division, where the original selling dealer ordered the truck from.

8009 = Domestic Special Order number, truck ordered special by the original purchaser, not "bought off the lot."

Im pretty sure its similar to the three I own ( all 1979)
It appears to have been converted to run ten lug wheels, super singles, military- Am I correct?

My front axles are Fds-75.. or 7500 pounds.. if yours really are 5k then they must be the predecessors to mine
My rears are the same as yours

Transfer case is rockwell

They are both in the heavy duty ford parts books

Bill has the parts diagram

There is a youtube video.. two part..on rebuilding the axle

The brake drums are gold and are no longer made.. protect them

Have fun..looks like a cool truck

You need locking hubs...

Awesome, would you know the model number of the T-case? I’m stuck in 2wd at the moment.
I’ll have to check if that axle has been swapped out then! I wasn’t told it had been when I bought it but you are right, it is running 53” military tires.

As you can see, I have the parts catalog...

1973/79 F600 4WD: Transfer case is the Rockwell model T223 .. Here are the 2 pics of the front driving axle.

I'll post the 3 T/C pics in a following post...later today.
