1973/79 Ford Heavy Truck Parts Catalog references.

VIN engine code E = 1973/78 361 2V & 1976/78 361 4V

Carburetor application charts list 361 Holley 4V beginning in 1974.

I cannot cross Holley list numbers to Ford part numbers, but if carb ID tag still present (many are missing today), I can look up any part you wish.

Thanks again Bill. You're right about the tag missing. Do you think those Holley numbers will get me a kit at NAPA? I'm also trying to decipher this disconnected governor system. Got a spot for two lines at the base of the distributor hooked to nothing and can only find one blocked line coming from the right side base of the carb. The carb needs a kit bad, the accelerator pump's leaking and it's full of crud. Truck will run but barely and only at 3/4 choke. Seems like it's sucking air.
Any ideas?

You can get anything you need for a Holley as long as you have the List number.

I would be very skeptical of most parts store's kits unless it is made by Holley and clearly says it's for the list number on your carb. I have a Holley parts and repair manual around here somewhere and if I can find it I'll post pics of the parts breakdown and the related parts and numbers. Unfortunatley all of the part numbers are listed in Holley's old numbering system. Not even the Holley techs seem to have a quick and easy cross reference for them.

It seems awkward, but whenever you "insert a picture" to one of these threads, the forum is looking for the picture somewhere on the web (which is always available) rather than from somewhere on your hard drive (which isn't always available).

Go to Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket and sign up for a free account. Then create an album for your truck. Upload any pics you want to post on FTE to that album. Have this album open on your computer when you want to post pics on FTE.

While you're making a post on FTE, select the pic you want to post from your Photobucket album. When the large version of the pic is open, right mouse click on it and select "View Image Info". The image info will be highlighted and will look something like this:
http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...ghtsafter1.jpg

Copy that highlighted info (right click / copy).

When you have the spot in your post where you want the pic to be placed, select the "Insert Image" icon at the top of the post (looks like a mountain) and paste (right click / paste) the image info you copied in the highlighted box (just shows "http://" when it opens).

Your pic will be placed in the post.

Hope that helps.
