Recently purchased 2001 7.3 4x4 with 250,00 miles...found it in Bozeman MT flew up and drove it home to Southern California with no issues. It has good maintenance records and is in good condition...so far so good, it will be our primary tow vehicle for our 23' Airstream.
Saw your post over in the camper/towing forum...nice rig! Looks like the Warn hubs installed. Any other mods done to the truck? There's a great writeup in the tech folder for swapping to the newer style mirrors and making everything work (if you're looking to go to the larger tow mirror).
Thanks for the link the mirrors will be swapped soon that was high on my list, it does have a TS chip which is really nice but no other mods. I'm putting some Bilsteins on today.
I am curious about the process of buying remote. I just settled for local, but I should have done more research. Do you just keep looking until you get a good feel for the guy/truck?
