So now that I went from the factory 18's with 275/17/18 tires to the factory 20's with 275/65/20, I would like to use Forscan to change my tire size so my speedo is correct.
I am seeing a lot of conflicting info on this. I have used forscan almost two years ago to make some changes.
Does anyone have step by step instructions for this that does not produce a check engine light?
You may not need to. I went from the factory 20s to 295s exactly 1 inch taller and my speedo is still accurate. Using Waze on my phone which is GPS speed.
I dont think the 275/70/18 and factory 20 are even an inch apart.
I read this on the internet a long time ago, but it was an article saying Ford use to set up the speedo for the largest tire for that truck. So when I went to 33" tires in my F150 my speedo was actually correct as it was the tire on the Raptor at the time.
Don't know if that is true but made sense at the time.
