I have a 2009 F350 87,720 mi V10 auto, one day it started to act up by not setting, I tried the off and on button and set button several times still no luck. So what I thought maybe the switches died, replaced both switches still no luck. So as I'm scratching my head I'm this rough bumpy road and it starts working, last a couple days, Back on a rough bumpy road quits again. I'm going nuts what am I'm missing here?
On my 2010, I have had an issue with the brake light switch (on the pedal) being the culprit - especially on the bumpy roads known around here as the West Virginia Interstates.
Typically, I'll try and set the cruise - green light will blink then go back off.
If I use my toe to pull back on the pedal just a bit, usually fixes it.
I need to confirm/adjust, just haven't gotten to it yet....
I'm still chasing a similar issue. It's intermittent, which is driving me nuts. If it would just quit altogether it would be easier to fix.
I've replaced the brake pressure switch, cleaned the throttle body (it was sticking a bit) and today I took the servo off and checked it out the best I could. No roughness at sticky spots. Test drove it and same problem- works when it wants to. The cable seems a bit rough, but damned if I can find one on the aftermarket. I might have found an NOS one, but I haven't double checked the part # yet. Hopefully there a # on the cable somewhere.
I just replaced to brake pedal position switch a couple hours ago. Haven't driven it yet, so we'll see. I have a funny feeling that was the problemo.
