My new baby !!!

I just bought a 1965 Ford F-350 with a dump back. She will become our farm market mascot.
She’s in really great shape for a NY truck, no rust, mostly original, 74,000 miles same owner for over 30 years !!! Any suggestions for your go to parts suppliers ? This is my first old car and it’s older than me so I’ll be stalking these forums !!!

Looks like a reasonably solid citizen. Dennis Carpenter has a lot of parts for these trucks, a lot of body parts listed for F100 will fit a F 350: window lifts, door jams, glass, headliner etc. Brake stuff might be harded to source: look in Hemmings Motor News in commercial vehicle parts for vendors.

1957/66 F350's have 12 1/8" x 2" front drum brakes, 13" x 2 1/2" rear drum brakes.

1956/65 F250's have 12 1/8" x 2" front/rear drum brakes, as do some 1966/72 F250 2WD's.

NAPA and indie auto parts stores should have all the parts.

A '65 F 350 is very similar to a '66 F 350 and technically has the same bones as the '61-'64 F 350 ( same straight front axle and high floor cab). Many interior and exterior cab parts will interchange with '64-'66 F100- F250 standard cabs, but not all. Use caution and ask questions when purchasing parts listed for a '65-'66 F 100 and F 250 2WD, many pieces were modified for the twin I beam suspension.

Hi Bill....looking at all the previous treads you seem to be the encyclopedia of Fords. I have a question regarding the grills, I see the grill on my truck mostly listed as what’s on a 1966 and many pictures of 1965s show a different grill. Was there two grills on F350s in 65 ? I sure hope mine is original because the grills are not cheap !

1965 F100/750: C5TZ-8200-A .. Painted Steel Grille = Standard Cabs & C5TZ-8200-B .. Anodized Aluminum Grille = Custom Cabs & F100/250 Rangers.

In September 1965, FoMoCo obsoleted both these grilles, replaced them with the following grilles for use as "service part replacements."

1966 F100/750: C6TZ-8200-A .. Painted Steel Grille = Standard Cabs & C6TZ-8200-B .. Anodized Aluminum Grille = Custom Cabs & 1966 F100/250 Rangers.

So, you may find 1965's with 1966 grilles. Personally, I prefer the 1965's.

Here's the pic of the 1965 & 1966 grilles (1966 shown below 1965) (there's also a 1964 grille).

On the F100/250 2WD they also had the Deluxe Appearance Package which was optional on Standard cabs and included Bright-metal windshield reveal moldings, grille, headlamp doors, door trim panels and horn ring; with color-accented door trim panels. But this appearance package was not available on the F350.
