Single Exhaust 352

arrow points to leftside down pipe
Hi,
I have recently purchased a 67 F100 352 which is a survivor, very original, and needs a new exhaust. It has duals now and I want to return it to the original single exhaust system. Looks like this will be a custom exhaust and I have some info to guide me, but I wonder if anyone else has done this and could give me some tips, pictures or advice. The diagram below is what I have found, and the photo is of a 70 - F100 original that I came across. Thanks in advance to anyone who has advice.

Napa shows the Y pipe, but does not both pieces in the picture?

tail pipe also:

Likely just Walker parts. Might find them locally. Might cover most of it, with only a couple custom pieces to finish it.

I had a '67 F100/352 about 10 yrs ago. I replaced it all with headers/duals. Though with the MX transmission and cooler that ties into block on the drivers side and lower radiator hose it was a job to get everything removed to make room for the headers. My manifolds were junk.

Thank you. I am hoping to keep this truck as original as possible, and it only has 91,000 miles on it, so I have my fingers crossed that manifolds will be OK. I was in touch with the Walker Techline, since they show a system for 65-72 F250 352 and I thought these would be a fit for the F100. Their reply was that they have nothing for the F100. Your reply has given me hope, since pics in the NAPA links you included are the same as the Walker website, and in fact the numerical part numbers are identical. The Walker site has a front pipe as well. I will follow up with my local NAPA dealer and hope that these are available for the Canadian market as well. The attached illustration is from the Walker site. Thanks again for the NAPA suggestion.

I think if you go into a store and make them use a book and not a computer you will have better luck.

My manifolds were uneven from leakage at the head surface. Not cracked. If yours aren't leaking around the head mating surface, then they likely are okay. Getting the bolts out to remove the the manifolds is a delicate job. Not for the fate of heart. Typically lots of broken bolts to extract.

If the two studs for the pipe clamp are damaged, you can likely get them out with some heat and replace them.

No such thing!
352: 1965/67 F100/350 // 360/390: 1968/76 F100/350.

The right exhaust manifold is the same: 1965/67 F100/350 352 & 1968/76 F100/350 360/390.

There are two different lefts. 1965/67 F100/350 352 & 1973/74 F100 360/390 have a heat riser valve. The other 1968/76 F100/350's do not.

C5TZ-5246-N .. Inlet Pipe-Right / Obsolete

1965/66 F100 2WD 352 with 115" wheelbase & MX Cruise-O-Matic // 1967 F100/250 2WD 352.
----------
C5TZ-5267-E .. Inlet Pipe-Left / Obsolete

1965 F100/250 2WD 352 with MX Cruise-O-Matic from serial number 672,001 // 1966 F100/250 2WD with MX Cruise-O-Matic // 1967 F100/250 2WD 352.

So if the NAPA/Walker parts work out I may go that route. Assuming the manifolds are OK, on the left side I will likely permanently set the heat riser valve open so I can attach the front pipe to it. I understand the heat riser valve to manifold is a flat connection so a standard front pipe will not connect to the manifold without some modifications/adapter. This will be a summer ride so won't take too long to warm up. If I can't get suitable parts I just have to go with a custom exhaust system.. I think I now have enough info to work with a good custom muffler shop. Thanks all for your comments. Much appreciated.

I've used those two parts for the front header pipes on a couple of trucks. One a 67 f-100 with a 352 and the other a 69 f-250 with a 390. They both fit good. The 67 had the factor heat riser valve and the 69 had a factory spacer. I'm having a hell of a time finding the header pipe assembly for my 71 f-100 with a 302 however. The mufflers for these and the tailpipes are still readily available. If you're willing to remanufacture the exhaust pipe hangars you can have a complete original exhaust setup.
