looking to the proper hardware to attach the finish panel to my tailgate, is it a set of clips? also are the standard size finish panels all the same ford letter size?

What year is the truck, what model? 1968/72 F100/350: There are FOUR different Styleside tailgate finish panels:
1970/72 Ranger/Ranger XLT are the same huge shape, only their outward appearance is different.
I can tell the difference between a 1968/70 finish panel and a 1971/72 by looking at them (1971/72 is black), but I don't know if the letters are the same shape.
vidaliaman if you want your tailgate panel to have the polished look. all you have to do is get a rag like a t-shirt or something like it. and some lacquer thinner. wet the rag with the thinner and you don,t have to use to much pressure the coating will come right off. and when you are done it will look like you had the panel polished. i have done this on two different f-100,s. the last time was about two years ago ,and it looks like i did it yesterday.
