same things as 2 years ago
2 years ago I had a problem after replacing both batteries that were dead. I turn the key and nothing happens but all the lights come on with brand new batteries.
I diesel mechanic came out while I was at work got it started he told my wife he replaced the starter charged us $300. I called my wife and ask her if he ever gotten under the truck and she said no he did it from under the hood.. so I know he did not replace the starter.
Now it's 2 years later and we had a house fire our house burned to the ground and we lost everything we all including the keys to my truck. It's at dead for 4 months till I could get home from a job in the oilfield.. I have had to take a local job to stay home and take care of my wife who have suffered health conditions from a fire cool things are really tight. I can't get a mechanic to come out here they want too much money up front. I got two brand new batteries under warranty I put them in my truck. I turn the key and nothing happens I checked all the fuses. I hope they remote starter switch to my s terminal on my solenoid and the battery and it cranks like normal. But I can't get anything I'm turning the key. since this happened once before I just wonder if there is something I need to reset

We live near Robstown Texas close to nueces River off of county road 73. If there is anyone that can help us I will find some way to pay for it. We are living in a camper and struggling to keep food on the table until my wife gets better and return to work. I don't know if they allow email in here but I have a Gmail account it's im83inches. In my 40 years of working for a living I have never asked for welfare or charity. I'm willing to work off my debt if needed

Try starting in neutral. If it cranks in neutral the switch on the trans is out of adjustment or just bad. Also try to wiggle the shift lever while turning the key, there are a couple of bolts under the dash that can loosen that affect the position of the lever and the neutral safety circuit.
