Another thread recently posted sparked my curiosity while I was looking into replacing a rear section of moulding that was damaged by the PO. I seem to have a different moulding option that I'm use to seeing. Mine goes along the dent as well as over the fenders and doors. Was this a special order or something because everything I see is either only the dent, or along the rockers? I cannot find anywhere that makes the piece I'm looking for.

You've got racetrack trim. More common than the thin trim in my opinion.
X2 on you have what is called "race trac" trim. Too access the nuts/studs that hold the vertical piece with the 90* on the bottom, just remove the tail light. There are 2 nuts on studs in there. You see the red arrows in my pic, that is the joints. Bad thing about the main "dent" trim piece is that where it goes around the side marker light...that piece is connected VERY well to the rest of the dent trim piece and does not come apart very easy.
The rubber black piece is screwed to the end and the metal to metal connection is crimped together. Now yes you can un crimp them to separate them, but not very easy with the trim still on the truck.
You pretty much have to remove the complete bed "dent" trim to be able to get the 2 pieces (main piece and small end trim piece around the side marker) separated. Yea all that to just be able to replace the bad piece, then crimp them back together.
I posted a link to a Dennis Carpenter repop L piece below. Or you might be able to locate the vertical w/90* piece from a FTE member that sells parts. Those 2 in the pic I sold a while back. quadzilla might have some? Same for the end side marker light piece. Or try FTE classified, WTB add?

These are Race Track (R/T) Mouldings.

1977/79 F100/350; 1978/79 Bronco.

The curved end piece of the upper body side moulding was not sold by itself by FoMoCo, you had to buy the entire moulding.
Without the end piece, this upper body side moulding and the upper fender, door and cab corner mouldings are the same as 1973/76 F100/350 Ranger XLT w/the black vinyl inserts.
Pic: Don't pay any attention to the fact that the pic shows a Super Cab, because the mouldings only pertain to the bed, tail lamp and tailgate.
