Headlight Relay Harness
1Ton... I saw the same when I pulled out my old headlight switch and looked at the connector. Just a bit of darkness on the brown wire coming out of the headlight switch connector. It still shows good voltage but like all things 50 years old it's got some obvious wear and tear. I think running 100+ watts through wire just barely rated to handle the load is what causes it over time. Lots of heat generated that probably stresses the wires especially if the high beans were used frequently. I have ordered a headlight harness with relays even though I'm still running stock style bulbs at least for now. Replacing the switch however did brighten up the headlights some even without the headlight relays and new harness. Before I invest in LEDs or Halogens, the headlight buckets need to be replaced. Mine look like they've been eaten by moths. I cleaned them up and gave them a shot of Rustoleum for the time being to slow down the rust.Now if I can just figure out why my front turn signals don't work when the headlights (or parking lights for that matter) are on and correct that issue, I'll be road ready

Loose, missing, or corroded cables, poor grounding points and connections. Typical problem for old cars and trucks.
