I’ve got the 2005 v10 Eddie Bauer Excursion.
I need the body mount[s] for the front passenger
side. I cannot find part 2c7z-1000154-aa
anywhere (yes I know it isn’t made anymore).
NOS is almost nonexistent for that part.
Are any of the aftermarket body mount kits OK?
Dorman? Daystar?
I need the crunching noise when I come to a stop or
start from a traffic light GONE — it’s tearing into my
vey soul at this point. Any ideas you have are most
welcome because this is an otherwise good truck.
Kicks the crap out of anything GM builds.
Thank you.
I don't know.... maybe someone who's needed them might chime in, but mine are still good. For me... I would avoid any that are stiffer than OEM unless you're off road a lot. Me, I tow a lot. OEM or similar are fine for me.
Thank you EXswap. — what is a rubber kit you’d recommend? I don’t want to increase NVH at all
and am interested in quietness, smooth ride and low
vibration.
What ever you get, you will feel more energy transferred initially to the seat of your pants. The clunking will go away and the movement, but the higher density of new product will be noticable.
The most important thing to your ride is tires... assuming everything else is good.
Who knows of a rubber set of mounts that they trust?
As for tires: I’m using the Kelly Edge AT that the
Excursion came with. Decent amount of tread left.
Anyone like or dislike Kelly tires?
These are not especially quiet but good otherwise.

My apologies, I was thinking the Daystars were rubber. They are in fact polyurethane.
I'd go with the energy suspension polys personally. I've used their parts and they seem to have a good compound on the poly.
I looked at White Bear Lake Ford's website and they don't carry them for the X. I also looked at the F250 parts for the same year and nothing.
