I was in the process of replacing my IAC valve today and I was surprised to see that there was no gasket between the valve and the back side of the throttle body. I did not lose a gasket. There was no gasket stuck to the old valve and in the second photo below it appears that there are gray rubber/silicone o-rings built in to the back of the throttle body. Do I use the new Ford thin gasket below or just bolt the new IAC on as the old one was? Also when removing the IAC intake tube I broke the support piece which attaches to the top of the intake manifold. I could just try to super glue but I would prefer to replace it, however, I can't seem to locate one on the Internet. I've tried using all of the numbers on the stamping in the last picture below but couldn't find anything. If anyone knows where I can order one I would appreciate it. Thanks.
After more searching I see that there is an alternate rubber gasket which is what is showing in the mirror.
Found one on eBay, Rock Auto, etc...
I'll reuse the old one until I can order one in unless I can find at a local auto parts tomorrow. Was there a year where it switched from one type of gasket to the other?
