Has anyone had any issue with the remote start using the fordpass app. It seems that when my truck sits off for several hours either when Im parked at work or in the driveway overnight, the app will not start the truck. Or unlock the doors. I stood next to the truck and when I would try to start using the app, the dash light would light up but the process would fail. So there is connection between the app and truck. If I tried to start after an hour or so of the truck sitting, it works fine its just when it sits. I don't know what the cutoff is. Its always been 6 hours plus. Always works with the fob. I have updates the app, reregistered in the app, did the online update in the truck in my driveway connected to my wifi. Don't know if at this point its hardware. Thanks for any help.
i've read where the vehicle will go into a deep-sleep mode after 7 days, or when the battery voltage drops below a certain voltage (which might explain why it works after a few hours and doesn't work after a longer time IF your battery is draining for some reason). Also may sure your sync is up-to-date and your fordpass app is up-to-date.
I use mine when I want to start the truck, to warm it or cool it, and I am in the back of the house and the keys are by the front door. So far it has worked every time.
Keyfob is certainly easier...Doesn't help when the truck is 3 blocks away at work. I did the updates on the app. Just don't want to be without my truck while my dealer "figures" this out. i reached out to them previously for any suggestions and theirs was to re-download the app. Doesn't sound like this is a known issue. Updating the sync? Is that just doing an update on the wifi through the menus in the truck. I believe I did that.
