Harley headlights

I got a set of a free Harley Davidson series headlights for my f350. I know I need to modify parts to work, mines a 2000. Someone messed with the lights where the light bulb itself goes in, I know without a pic it’s near impossible to help but any ideas what they could have been doing?

It looks like glue to hold the bulb in the housing. Probably some of the plastic broke when they were replacing a bulb, and this was their fix?

The sockets seemed solid so I guess they’re good to go. What bulbs are everyone recommending? LED, or something else?

I've got the horrible halogen lights on my 2019 Lariat. Those lights are so bad. Hey Ford the 70's want their headlights back. They are absolutely a bad look and I guess its Fords attempt trying to get off on the cheap! Those Morimoto look really good? How long was the install? What would a professional charge to put those light in?
