Just wondering if there are any options to mount a winch on a truck with the plow frame? Interested in a full time winch mount...my back is not interested in a front receiver to attach my winch to ;-)
Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure I know the answer...but just thought I'd ask you guys.
If you have a Fisher plow I have a winch mount that attaches to the plow mount for the off season. Shot me a PM and I will provide you the details.
Howdy Raymond :-) I know that you weren't addressing me but if you could PM me the info on the Fisher plow winch mount I'd appreciate it! That is exactly what I am searching for today.... Thanks!
The plow mount winch posts above have me wondering - presumably you can’t winch very heavy loads, because a plow mount’s strength comes from the plow load pushing against the mount/truck frame.
If the winch is mounted to the plow frame and the winch is pulling on the plow frame, it’s only strength is pretty much limited to the plow mount’s bolts - nothing else.

My plow mount has more to it than any winch bumper mount I’ve seen.

I agree, but can it handle the pulling stress vs the pushing stress it was designed for. When I back drag my plow (Western mvp with wings), I figure there’s maybe 1,200 lbs of plow and snow weight it’s pulling on.
