I’m trying the to figure out what transfer case this is. 79 F150 460 C6. There seems to only be three different gears I can shift into on the tcase. Truck does have front lockouts. With truck in park I can go all the way down or up one to the middle. In N I can go up one more.

460 swapped in, was not available with 4WD until 1983.
1979 F150 300/351M/400 4WD could have a NP203 or NP 205.
X2 looks like a NP-205 with the short out put to the rear d/s. NP-203 is WAY longer. Can you get to the front of the case and look for a blue silver tag with either 203 or 205 stamped on it? Also what does your shift lever patter have? 203 on right 205 on left of **** pic. Last pic NP-203 is on left, see the bigger out to rear d/s?
