You can't get the HDPP without also getting Max Tow.

Also to make things more confusing is that combo is rated to tow less when equipped with HDPP. I found the 3.55 gears to be terrible in my 18 and did a 4.10 swap early on.

I've narrowed my searching down to a couple trucks I like. Both have the $995 trailer tow package. One has 20" wheels and the 3.55 gears. What did you pay for the swap?

Max tow package is only available with 3.5 eco boost.
Any other engine choice you have to get the tow package and add on the options.

Neither of those trucks have the max tow package so you are aware. The swap cost me around 650 front and rear in parts. I did the labor in a afternoon. Also be warned trucks with the 8.8HD have limited gear selection. My truck has the 9.75 which is easy to get gear sets for.
