Thanks for the link. Lot's of nice compressors and tanks to choose from! I live in a 2 floor condo and do not have a garage. I have to be careful with all my tools and equipment. I need a 3000 square foot garage to keep my toys in.
The one you linked to weighs 35 lbs. I need to take a trip to Lowes, Home Depot, and Harbor Freight to physically look at these.
Have you used a compressor with a blow gun to clean junk out of your engine before wrenching?
Mark
Not much with an air nozzle, just some short bursts. When I bought, Amazon carried them and they were just a tad more to get an aluminum tank unit versus the steel HF unit (that was on sale too). Shop around and you might find a deal on one. If you have to lug something upstairs, maybe skip the wheels. I did have a cheap HF pancake unit I returned - super loud and about worthless for even inflating a tire...
Any of the quiet ones may just fit your sound (lack of) needs...

Scott, I am making a trip to Lowes and Home Depot this week and look the compressors I don't want a loud compressor. I want the unit under 50 pounds, and I need it to blow out spark plug wells.
I know once I get an air compressor, I will wonder how I ever lived without one. Last year I bought a small impact wrench and an electric Milwaukee socket wrench that I carry with on all my trips.
Eventually, I will find a unit to install on my van.
After spending a day looking over air compressors online, I am targeting the California Air Tools 1 gallon ultra-quiet air compressors. They advertise it for using with air blow guns. The unit is small enough to pack away in my van.
I have to admit, the quietness of the unit is a big selling point. I am super careful with my ear drums. I wear hearing protection while taking off lug nuts on my van. I did a lot damage to my hearing as a youngster with fire crackers, loud music, shooting shot guns, riding motorcycles, etc.

I will post the new toy upon purchase.
Just make sure you buy it from somewhere easy to return to - a gallon is not much reserve air - I'm sure it will be nice and compact on the other hand...
