Hi guys,
I'm redoing the cooling system today and got to the point of installing the new lower hose on the pump elbow. My son and I have been working on this for over 30 min and cannot h=get it to go on more than about 1/2" - just over the first ring on the elbow. It took some ingw=enuity to get it there and it's stuck pretty good. How in the world does this smaller diameter hose go on that elbow?

Are you sure it's the right size? Heat it up with a heat gun or a hair dryer to help with flexibility.

 

Sounds to me like you have the wrong hose, even dry it shouldn’t be that difficult, I smear a bit of silicon grease or vasoline on the inside of my hoses, it helps them go on but more so they can be removed much more easily down the road.
