5.0 running rough
1) Oil blow by into the air filter box'
2) Runs really rough and I just tuned it up. The plugs I pulled out where in good shape no signs of fouling at all.
3) After I drive the truck and come to an a stop the oil pressures goes really low unless I keep it reved up.
4) I guess my next step is a compression check to see if its the whole engine or just the heads. Could I still have good compression and just be the valve?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks

The definate problem as far as oil pressure goes is your mains. All bearings including the cam bearings are responsible for oil pressure. I had the same problem with my 88 5.0 and I failed to replace the cam bearings along with the mains. The oil pressure went up to about 17 (Which was considerable, considering when it was at idle I had 2 lbs of pressure) but not as high as I had hoped.
Good news is, it is a cheap fix. Bad news is, it takes some time to do!
