tires

so i can only find the 2 sizes that go on my 1980 f250 2wd. is there any other sizes? largest i can find is 235/85r16

Your tire size will be shown on the certification label on the door post. My F-250 lists the LT 235/85R 16. I have been running that size tire since 1986 and have no complaints with the performance.

There are lots of different 16 inch tire sizes. You can go as large as you want but it's up to you to figure out if they will rub and how large you can go on the rim width you are using.

I just got tires for Crystal.
From what I researched 235/75/16 were the equivalent of OEM.
I put 265/75/16 on her. they are a little taller and wider then the 235/75/16.
My gears are 4.10 so the taller tire gave me a more speed but didn't take away too much low end power.
235/75/16 were 29.9 tall and 9.3 wide 265/75/16 are 31.6 tall and 10.4 wide.
50mph = 52.8mph with the bigger tires.
Crystal is 4x4
Go to tiresize.com and you can compare different sizes

I just put on 265/75 16
Looks good and no lift.
