tire sizes again

Goodafternoon everybody. I am looking at replacing the tires that come on the truck when i bought it (285/75/16). On the door sticker it lists 265/75/16 as my stock tire size. I planned on goiing with the stock size untill I realised that some trucks came with 235/85/16. Most tires i hav looked at are available in both sizes. Other than looks what will i notice between the two different sizes? Im hoping i will gain some fuel mileage by dropping back down to the 265 maybe even more with the 235. I am somewhat leery of sinking to china with the 235.

So for for an at tire used in all terrians should I get a 235/85/16 or 265/75/16?

There is only about an inch difference in width between the 265 and the 235 tires. You will most likely have a larger selection of tread styles with the 265's. THe 235's are usually Load Range E tires for a heavier payload. 265's are available in both load range D and E, so just make sure to match up to your requirements. THe height of both tires are approximately 31".
