why did you chose the Fox shocks as allowed to the Bilsteins (valved for the excursion)?

While the bilsteins ARE setup for universal excursion application, the shocks I get will be tuned to my excursion and my needs. I might even start with the Bilsteins just for the sake of getting this build done faster and having the specs out there. I've already found a pair of used rears that I may use in the mean time.

Edit... I forgot to tell you the most important part... My kids will think they are cool! 😎

sway bar links, you can get longer ones but before you bother with that make sure you will even want to run them.
I know my Ex handles better And the ride is definitely better without sway bars but I have a good deal of time and effort invested in shock tuning, but even without that it is good to start a new suspension setup without them and add as required.
Remember you have dramatically changed corner weights, center of gravity, roll center and leverage points of your vehicle, do not assume it is going to be like it used to be or even like somebody else’s with a similar ride height but different spring, shock and tire package.
will removing a leaf bring the front end down to 26”? Do you have links to the additional parts needed? What do you recommend for shocks on this set up? I was thinking Bilsteins but wondering if there is anything cheaper that will get the job done.

removing the front spring is not something I have personally done nor have I done the math on the new spring rate with the bottom leaf removed. I am just reporting the measurements that Sammie achieved when she did here here on post #29
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...easurents.html

front 25”
rear 26”

at those measurements you might be able to get away with using the stock length KYB Monomax, But I would make some careful measurements first.
