Best Replacement Side View Mirrors?
Just brought home a 1986 Ford F-150 flareside/sidestep and the side view mirrors are mismatched. It's driving me a bit nuts and I just want to replace both- there seems to be a lot of aftermarket options but I want something stainless steel and sturdy, and I don't want to drill any new holes in the door. Does anyone have a recommendation? I do quite a bit of highway driving, so they'll need to be good enough to not shift at 55mph speeds.
Thanks!

But I feel the design is not really highway friendly, because the mount is below the mirror they seemed to just get buffeted to death by the wind while driving high speeds. I was considering these:

One option is mount the Sport Mirrors from the 1992-96 trucks. This will leave holes to be filled in the door but it is doable and they should be able to be found at the local U pull it wrecking yard for cheap.. They came power and non power variants and W/chrome and W/out chrome

In my opinion, OEM ones [even used] are better quality than after market ones.

The newer style mirror showed will fit but will require a square hole to be cut in the door as there is two screws outside that hold the mirror on and one 10mm bolt that holds the arm of the mirror inside the door on the back side of the door panel.
I installed a pair of power mirrors on a '82 as the customer wanted power mirrors wasn't hard but does require cutting.

I don't have them mounted yet as I am still working on a cab off frame rebuild of my 81 F100 flare side.
I did check if the holes lined up to the old mirrors and they did.
They look to be pretty solid mirrors and came with all the hardware.
I can also tell you they don't hold up to good being driven over.
They were place outside the closed garage, wife got in her car opens door and backs out over the box.
I was lucky she only killed 1 mirror.
