I'm wanting to add a pyrometer guage to my 2003 F250. It has a 6.0 with an older BullyDog programmer on it. I recently bought a new larger trailer and will be doubling the weight that I normally tow so I figured I better keep an eye on things. I would prefer a single guage. I don't really care if it a pillar style or mounts above the rear view mirror as long as it comes in tan. Anyone got real life experiences with this?
I run an Isspro gauge works well. AutoMeter also makes one. GlowShift has one but friend has had to replace his several times. Google Exhaust temp gauges and you should get several choices. The mount is a separate piece, you can select the one you prefer from the suppliers catalog, you may or may not have to paint it.
I had ISSPRO EV2 gauges in my truck. Never had a problem with them. I had an overhead pod (triple) above the rear view mirror and the vendor color-match the pod before it was sent to me.
Google auber egt
They make a small rectangular gauge that easily fits in the dash, they can be ordered in different colors, have an audio alarm, and you can order red/green/blue led colors.

I think the easiest way to add EGT is an EDGE Insight touchscreen display, which is a nice suite of gauges in it's own right. The only part I didn't like about it was that the wiring harness for the EGT expansion that has to pass through the hole in the firewall is a little too big for the hole. Had to enlarge it slightly with a rat-tail file which kind of a bummer.
I drilled a hole in the firewall knockout where the clutch would be for a manual truck. Put RTV on boths sides when I was done to seal it and all was good.
