I have only used my 4x4 twice since I bought it..
1 time I got high center crossing a ditch. High centered on the trailer ball drop down. lol
second time I pulled a guy out of mud
I could prob use it more, but I dont find the need.

DMACC has a great reputation out here. they work side by side with ISU and about 90% of the instructors are professors at ISU also. good school, and a great way to transition to a four year. good also because it is much cheaper for the same education.

I entered 6-11 times per year. It really depends on how much snow I'm plowing through to get to work (or play in). I use it every now and then in the summer when it comes to mud, but I haven't encountered that bad of mud in the four years of owning the truck. I stick to snow, you know, you can't shovel mud.

If there's mud or snow, I always try to go. The only thing I fear is no commode is near. But it's a way to feel alive, to own a four wheel drive.

Like in Boris says in Goldeneye "'I am INVIN-CIBLE"

It took me a minute to register what DMACC was. I graduated from ISU in '89. Haven't been up there in awhile. I miss pheasant hunting.

Down here I engage 4x4 to get the boat up the ramp, pull 4x2 chevies with their boats up the ramp (yep, just like the commercial - done it), and the occasional 4x4 bombing runs on the beach.

I use mine 1-3 times a month. More when hunting season is on.

I like to turn mine on when travelling dirt roads at least once a month just to keep everything lubricated and working properly. I read an owners manual to a blazer once that recommended using it for at least 10 miles a month and it seemed like a good idea and can't hurt.

Times when I actually need 4x4 is probably about 6 or 7 times a year but I like it.

I don't abuse it....much, but I like to travel the trails once a week or so. Also live in area with tough winters so it gets used more in the winter time. My local service tech actually advised "beating it up a bit" now and then just to give all those parts a workout. Of course, he doesn't pay the repair bill when something breaks!!

options are kinda limited.

I use it during the winter months when plowing. Hard to tell. But when the snow is light I may not have it in.

I don't use it much during the summer, maybe 1 or 2 times

I use my four wheel drive about 1-3 times per month because my favorite fishing hole is along an unpaved road. During the winter I use it whenever there is snow deeper than 4 inches, or when the roads are covered.

My truck's hubs are always locked, even if the transfer case is in 2WD. When it rains (yeah, like it did all summer... ha!), my pastures get pretty muddy, so I need 4WD to check on my cows and hauling hay. In the winter time, it's in 4WD all the time.

i use mine about 1-2 times a month..... may not need it even then, but rather start off in it then get stuck and then need it.

some people, they may not need it but its nice to know you have it if something ever happens. theres alot of ditches out there, and cars that need a tug every once in a while...

My 4wd has been abused so i have to take it easy and some componets need replaced.

The 400's a good motor. It's a later 351 C. They have plenty of power, but don't do too bad on gas.

Now granted, the 460 could be better when tweeked, but stock vs stock, I'd rather have the 400. Plus everyone knows that the 351 C was a torque monster for it's size.

Oh yea, I didn't even post about how i use my 4WD.

When ever I go home, i use it all the time, but here in cali, about 10 times or so a year.

Back home, i used the 4wd about 5 times a week, sometimes more. Winter time, I basicly almost stay in it.
