I have a FiTech go efi 600 with about 10k miles on it. Works fine just not with my combo. I'm at the point of taking it to get dyno tuned or going back to carb and I dont want to put another dime into it. I have about 2k into it with fuel system. I want to go back to carb.
I have a fairly new 19 gallon tank with Tanks Inc. fuel pump unit and a brand new Walbro 255 lph fuel pump. -6 Russell twist lock hoses, AN fittings and a billet Holley HP filter that is 6 months old.
Let me know I'm a desperate fool at the end of his pitiful rope.
Startup, cold driveability and low end drivebility/cruise is amazing. It's just this damn lean spot at wide open I can't cure. Beyond my skill level. Maybe a milder engine with a milder cam wouldn't have the issue.

Sorry to hear that you’re going back to the drawing board! I referenced some of you earlier posts when I started to consider the FiTech and I agree with the positive comments that you mention above. Fortunately my experience has been all positive, no regrets. I know from reading your thread that you have a ton of time into your swap as well as the expense....hoping you get the performance you’re working for!
I just bought a 77 F250 Ranger (5 weeks ago) bone stock from the second owner (grandson of the first owner). It has a 400M with a 2 barrel. It's my weekend/hunting rig. I want to swap it over to EFI since I go from 1,300 ft in elevation to 7,500 ft when I hunt. I can't find any honest reviews of the system. I would keep the bottom end stock for now and just replace the intake and distributor with the fitech for holley sniper. Any comments/reviews would be helpful. Thanks
Wish that I didn't have all my money into inventory right now as your not that far from me and I've got a buddy that runs down to California 3 - 5 times a month. I'm looking at putting a 600 system on my 460 as the PO put on a performer intake along with a head change for compression and the strongest RV cam he could to make the propane system work. The motor was in a 89 F450 flat deck.

If it helps you, I’m running almost the same setup as Hivoltj except with the larger Tanks inc. Mustang tank, 400 hp FiTech and hard fuel lines. Same send and return setup, same fuel filter, same in tank fuel pump. My 66 has a stock 390 with a mild RV cam. I run it from the valley floor to our cabin at 5500 foot elevation without a whimper. The only people who drive my truck at W.O.T. are my friends who want to see what happens....! It scares me. I also use the cable setup for the C6 kickdown and my friends have shown me that it works!!
Well gents, put down the torches and stop sharpening the pitch forks... I may have jumped the gun. Took a video for a guy on the bookeface to show him my stumble problem, then looked at the handheld EFI controller and realized my accel pump settings were reset to zero. I don't remember doing that but must have reloaded a saved tune in anticipation of changing the fuel pump out. So I bumped up the accel pump and did a few dry revs in the driveway= no stumble. Will take another stab at some tuning with the new pump now.
For obvious reasons, this thread has been edited to make it more "tech" oriented, as the original poster might just need to do a little more work on it before giving up.
Well I think I have sorted it out. I dont understand why the classifieds on this forum are so terrible and not like all the other vbulletin sites.
Anyway I removed the 1" open carb spacer and that with some more tuning I think I have killed the flat spot. I have always seen a spacer to benefit when running the eddy performer intake and a carb. I guess that with the weiand being so much bigger than the eddy it is overkill, making the plenum too large and diminishing vacuum.
See my old post in the Cleveland forum if you are curious the size differences between the 2 intakes.
