This forum is the only place to go for good information. I tried a 7.3l Facebook page recently and the amount of misinformation is appalling. Mostly young kids who think they know everything about diesels. Between people glorifying powerstrokehelp , to adding all kinds of additives to the oil, and constantly asking what’s the best chip, I had to step away. I feel sorry for all the 7.3 owners who will eventually destroy there reliable engines.
Yeah... I read where a diesel mechanic said never use synthetic because it messes up the engine. Maybe a really old diesel, and maybe the earlier versions of faux dinos.

I don’t know what your talking about. I found out that I can make 600hp by stacking chips and it’ll live forever if I use additives.

Don't overlook the trash talk. While I exercise my better demons here, I'm letting the smarta55es have it right between the eyes on one of the many Facebook truck support pages - calling them on their behavior. I wonder how long it will take to get kicked off - no freaking loss. They already reported me and pulled the picture of my Prius in front of my Powerstroke.
Hey Joe - I tried to look you up not long ago. The last time I was in your neighborhood, I had a little misfortune. Stinky has gone to the big autocarrier in the sky, but I'm salvaging what I can to make the abominable tow monster Frankenstinky (2000 CCLB 7.3L w 160/80 injectors).
Are you still road-testing gauges? Anything new?
Aww man, that sucks!!! I had a bit of an accident with my truck about a year ago. Totaled it but I brought it back to life to live on.
Nothing new on the gauge front, I have changed styles yet again but...
Do have Mechanical EV-2 Boost gauges available now!
Hey Chris! Jeez... it's like we've gone into the wayback machine.
1 point 21 gigiwatts!
You get lost or just forgot to pay for internet...without pry'n, think the last time checking in was with the heart transplant from a green hulk to motorbug...whats new Chris

Yeah I know it's been a minute.

Life has been crazy Brother Tim. Good to see your still around. That transplant didn't happen. Times got tough and it turned out my motor didn't have the problem I thought it had. It does have that problem now tho, so I will be building a motor to put in soon ish.
So it was the tire that made you do that? I worry about my son to, he bought a new set of 37 tires for his 2004 but tows really heavy and he said it did feel a little softer in the rear end this time. Most those big tires don't have the side wall we need for towing heavy. He has air bags but the tire needs to be up to it.

I have run 37's for two decades...
The issue is Treadwright retreads... They talk a good game, but after biting and getting bit I come to find out they pay thousands to have bad reviews scrubbed from the internet, they will not honor there warranty are are more or less a **** tire company.
Zero issues with 37's and towing. Just dont run treadwright tires.
I'm not sure what he has on there, I'll have to look next time I go over there. He tows a really big toy hauler, he said his truck ran great but could feel the difference in softness. I didn't like that part. He goes on total wight rating, but I keep telling him he needs side walls for his 43 foot trailer. Wifes on me for dinner. Talk later.
