splash shield replacement

Is there a replacement for the front splash guards that are attached to the inner fenders - mine looks like it is stapled to the inner fender. didn't want to tear them off but I would like to clean up the area. its on a 79 f150

Is the pond liner too limp? If so, can you stiffen it up with a heat gun?

I have also considered taking mine out, cleaning them and hitting them with a coat of bed liner. Any other ideas?
