Under the encouragement of my wife, I have started to make YouTube videos about working on my dentside. If you guys wouldn't mind watching it and giving any constructive criticism and/or recommending any future projects you'd like to see. I would greatly appreciate it. If the link does not work just Google or search on YouTube "filthy rags garage". Thank you and God bless.
I was wondering if I should put some wheel spacers on my truck just for looks! Do you think they have any drawbacks, like maybe causing more stress on the bearings?
In theory, yes, the spacer will put more force on the bearings. But the new wheel is aluminum and lightweight, so I'm not worried about how much faster it will wear out the bearings. I've owned with the truck for 20 years and never had an issue with the bearings. Even if this larger Wheel and Tire and spacer cut the bearing life in half, that's still 10 years. I'm okay with that. This does bring up a good question of the weight difference between the stock wheel and tire and the newer Dodge Wheels. I should have weighed them before I put them on. I may go back and do that anyway.
