I am sure that this has been posted and discussed multiple times, but I could not find the information. I am looking to replace my stock alloy wheels on my 2002 F350 crewcut / long bed. I want to stick with as close to stock specification as possible. No big tires, no 20" rims, etc. What is the backspacing and offset of our stock alloy wheels. Thanks in advance!
Hey there Earl. I've been doing the same thing recently. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...-question.html
There are a couple of responses with tools to help. I also called around to some local tire places. What I ended up doing also was measuring from the back of the wheel where it connects to the hub, to the outside edge of the wheel. So what I basically found out from my research is the offset is 0, the backspace is approx. 4 1/2". The way they were explained to me is offset is where the center of the wheel is, and backspace is what I described in the measuring. I ended up being duped on the wheels I purchased from an individual in the fact that 2 of them were cracked. The are discontinued so I can't replace them. So while searching and asking questions, the aftermarket wheels recommended for my truck were 0 offset, 5 backspace. Good luck.
Positive offset puts the wheel in, negative offset puts the wheel out. Offset is how far from the center the hub face will be located.
Back space is mentioned in post #2.
