wheels
I have a few questions though. What makes them an offset? I know that when they are offset they stick out farther, so does that mean I should go with 15X8 or 15x10? My tires rub on the arms underneath, so it needs to be offset.
Also what wheel is the best for the money? I'm looking into Mickey Thompson's, but I'm not sure yet, does weld racing make quality wheels?
Any help would be great. Thanks.
--EDIT: I forgot to mention that is 4X4, and I don't like racing rims.
Hypothetically, lets say you have 4" of backspacing with your stock wheels. A wheel with 3" of backspacing would move the tire outboard and give you more turning clearance. On the other hand, a backspacing of 5" would move the tire inboard. Wheel width is irrelevant.
Keep in mind, the less backspacing you have, the more leverage the wheel and tire have on the ball joints and bearings.
Weld, Center Line, and M/T all make nice quality truck wheels. I couldn't say what the best bang for the buck is though. Personal preference and taste is everthing when it come to wheels. Truth be told, now days I'd bet you'd be hard pressed to find any wheel maker that doesn't produce a wheel of decent quality.
