Voltage Dropping

Hey guys and gals I am having a weird issue with my 1996 f-150 and I was hoping someone here might have a solution. Sometime when I go to start my truck right after it starts the volt gauge will bounce around ,under half, and sometimes it gets low enough it kills the truck. To keep it running I have to feather the gas and it helps keep the volts up till it quits bouncing around. The weird thing about this is it doesn't do this all the time. has anyone run into this before or has a solution I'd appreciate the help.

Sounds like a ground problem, check both battery terminals for corrosion and also the main battery ground at the frame.

The frame ground is only used for the trailers use.
The frame is not used as a ground for the engine or anything in the cab or the bed.

Sounds like a bad alternator brushes to me.
