Hi,

I have just bought a 1980 F150 Supercab as a toy and I am trying to work out exactly what I own. It has a 11 digit VIN and I cant find anything that tells me what the build spec of the truck is. There is none of the original paperwork with this truck.
VIN is X15FKJA1863.

As you found out the old short VIN there is no information on the web for it ........ or is there?

X15 = F150 2WD Super Cab Pickup.

F = 302 2V

K = Kansas City MO Assembly Plant.

JA1863 = 1980.

US/Canada: 1980 was the last year for 11 digit VIN's. 1981 thru today have 17 digit VIN's.
