Pulse generator

U don't know if U don't ask, am looking at buying a instrument cluster for my 50 f-1 and some of the ads say pulse generator not included. What is a pulse generator?

It is the device that replaces your speedometer cable to send an electric signal to your speedometer . This would only be necessary if you buy an electric gauge not cable driven .

In most cases the sender (I like this term better than "pulse generator") is unique to your running gear and thus is not included with the gauge. Most look just like the speedo gear that slips into the transmission tailshaft housing but instead of having a speedo cable fitting, it has a two-pin electrical connector.
