Just realized my F-250 only has the door mounted speakers. Plan on doing a stereo upgrade, and was curious what people are using for rear speakers in a 91 F-250, standard cab?

By today's standards these stereos in those trucks sound like crap - unless you shell out some serious coin. I recently re-did my door panels. With that I've put in some 2-way Pioneer speakers ($25 Amazon) and an el cheapo radio with BT, AM and FM ($25, Amazon). The radio has a built-in mic for hands-free calls - viola, no wiring necessary. My Samsung S10 has everything on it (and in it) and ties in nicely via BT. AM I use for news and sports.
The old setup (7 x CD changer and high-end stereo with casette(!!)) was donated to the Salvation Army. The tax write off pretty much pays for my new minimalism.
If you look for some rear panels from a 92+ standard cab they came with rear speakers. Some color match paint, some wiring and you'll have stock looking rear speakers.

I tried that with my 89 F250, would of had to hack up the 92+ trim where seat belt top bolt is located to make it work. Would look bad...
Pioneer TS-SW2002D2 is a 8" free air sub, box only has to be 2.75" tall and fits under seat, doesn't take any space up behind seat, then mount your tweeters above in header
It just depends on how big you want to go. If you want to stay with everything powered off of a standard head unit you would be looking at a 4ohm output. The infinity's (reference line) have really good balanced audio. If you listen to a lot of music with low end, some of the american brand speakers will have more low end, but wont' have the clarity. From there the sky is the limit, If you want to go nuts, I have about 2k in mine, but it will make your ears bleed. If there isn't a mount on the 8th generation is should be pretty easy to fab one up. If you want to go big, stay away from a lot of the mainstream brands, there are a lot of smaller companies that will blow that stuff out of the water. Sundown audio makes a killer lower profile sub (sd3 series I think).
I'm looking for something in the way of rear speakers. Don't need something crazy. Looking at rear speakers to go with the kenwood head unit. Like the factory look if possible.
