not trying to be d, and no offence taken, replaced my fuel pressure regulator 6 months ago, got my home ported 5.8 intake on this week, and headed to get dyno'd, got hooked up, going thru test, and fuel pressure was at 47psi(holy carp), talk about black smoke(son said looked like rolling coal LMAO!LOL!) so I got adjustable on order, and they didnt even charge me, said to get it swapped come bake, they want to see what I gained/lost from stock dyno in December, if you have Harbor Freight near ya. I got my fuel and vacuum tester's there, maybe you could get your buddy to come over, and show you how timing light works on your truck fuel tester got this to do brakes and check idle vacuum

Reason: wrong word should be (regulator)
Kinda slow to the draw here, but I got my black smoke issue sorted out. The fpr vaccum line was leaking vaccum. Fixed that and now that is good. This also fixed my running hot issue. I believe it was loading up and running hot. My timing issue, I loosened the jam on the distributor and turned it counter clockwise probably 1/16” maybe 1/8” or somewhere in between. I discovered that I had a valve chatter under a load (May have even been pinging. I am not sure, never really heard one ping I don’t suppose) before turning the the distributor, that went away along with my hard start going away too. Now my only issue that I have found is the truck has a lope when I first start it. Sounds mean! But it does not have a big cam so it shouldn’t sound this way lol. Not super worried about that though. It is driveable as is and I am a happy camper. Thanks everyone for your guidence and patience 👍🏼
