Frame mounted master cylinder bracket

Has anyone made their own frame mounting bracket for power brakes and utilized the factory pedal? Currently have a 4sp manual and the bracket that came with my booster kit won't work without major modifications. I hate to spend another $120+ for the bracket and clutch adapter that Mid Fifty sells.

I did. I have the 4 speed toploader and made my own bracket to attached to the top of the toploader and to attach the brake booster to the frame. You can view my build thread below. I think at post #70 you will see the brake booster installed. I couldnt find where I had just the brake booster bracket. All it is is an "L" shaped bracket with mounting holes. Below are some pics that I didnt include in the build thread. I was concerned at first with the pressure on the bolts of the top of trans but nothing has moved yet after driving for about two year. I currently have the truck torn down again for a total suspension and engine upgrade but with same trans and plan to use this same set up. Hope this gives you some ideas for your own application.

Just painted last night. The booster will sit 1/2 to 1" behind the existing frame mount or near the port end of the existing master cylinder. $10 for material.

I just built one for my F600 using 3/16 plate. 5" x 5" for the booster mount and 4" x 8" for the frame side. Made it slightly angled to ease the push rod angle. Could have welded the plate to the inside of the booster hole but I wanted better access to the booster mounting nuts. I don't think the offset will degrade the peddle to booster push-rod workings.

Sorry I haven't mounted it yet so no pics of that.... Truck is on the ground and the original brake system is still working so I'm not ready to tear the system out yet. Waiting for dryer weather and flat ground....

.

To be replaced.... 1956 F600

Don't know if the OP is coming back but here is the first mock-up install pics without lines. If I had it to do over I would have made adjustments I couldn't see with a working brake system in place and working from the ground...
