I am getting my truck equipped for use as fire police for my volunteer department. I know what lights I want to use on the outside but I want to add something in the visor area like my explorer had. The way the new trucks have their headliner cut I have to figure something out to use up there. Does anyone have something installed up there or have seen something mounted in that space. I tried searching the forums but I'm not having any luck.
mine are in the grill and I use a suction cup mount, dual head unit on the dash.
Yea I've already got my exterior planned out. Some new stuff some old stuff I never got to mount in my previous vehicle. I want to keep the lights by the top of the windshield. I've thought about getting two smaller dual head dash units and mounting them in the upper corners.
Decisions decisions Ultra bright dual dash light Feniex Fusion dual head/color

This is an option depending on budget. They have model available for 2017+super duty visor and you can select each module color(4 per side).
Don't wast your money
They need to do a lot more work on these. If plowing at night when the reverse lights flash, You'r Back up camera comes on & off and it 's annoying as S--T. The flashing in your face every couple seconds drove me crazy. I returned 7 of them and they took their time refunding me.

I have the Feniex Fusion Dual full interior lightbar in my '17. Mine is Amber/white with a mix of the 180° and 60° optics. It fits very nicely up against the top of the glass but I found I did need to use 1/4" spacers between the lights and the brackets to keep the flashback gasket tight to the windshield. I'd recommend them if you want a really high quality USA made light at a lower price point than Whalen. I'm very happy with them.
Do you want an interior light that is a full bar? Or smaller units? Do you want an option for takedown lights? How will you be wiring them? Cig plug or hardwire? What controller? I did a full interior/exterior lighting upfit on my truck and outlined it with parts in the build thread in my sig. Happy to provide any insight or advice if I can!

You know you could have turned those lights off in the programming you can download from them? Probably would have saved you some headaches.

I'll check out your build. I think the feniex dash lights will tuck right in that recessed are at the top. I haven't decided if I want the full bar or not.
As for wiring I haven't decided if I'm going to run the feniex controller or just hardwire them and trigger them using the upfitter switches.
Yea well turning off the reverse lights wasn't any difference in the rear than pushing the emergency flasher Button on the dash. For 200.00
The only headache was the refund

.
I thought zflash was intended for led lights? Wont that flashing kill the life on the halogens as well as provide delayed flashing? I could be completely wrong but just my first thoughts.
This is what I went with, very pleased with the snug to the glass fit, no flashback, and very bright. Also went with a SoundOff nForce directional bar mounted to the headache rack. https://www.soundoffsignal.com/produ...-led-lightbar/

They definitely do tuck right up there. When I was ordering them from Strobes n More I had to order them for a 2016 F150 - Feniex hadn't designated them as fitting the new SD's yet. My old '06 had a similar lighting setup on it controlled just with upfitter switches and an arrow bar controller...though I needed to add a second bank of oem upfitters for a total of 8. The Feniex 4200DL made a world of difference in terms of simplicity in the new truck. Everything is wired to the relay module and then programmed in the software. I have warning, left/right/center out traffic advisor, and takedowns all set up with my Feniex interior bar using a total of 4 buttons on the controller. And warning is activated in various stages with the slide switch too. Man, technology and LED's these days!!

Nope it looks better with the led lights as they flash quicker but works fine with the regular bulbs. Only thing is the headlights dont really flash when they are turned on. You see them pulse unlike when they are off.
There is an update in the works so you can change the flash pattern using the computer software. I was told by customer service it should be out next month.
I was a beta tester for their new software update and there was not much difference, Still no cab lights and very slow weak pulse. (My truck is all Led bulbs)
At night with the lights on, the stock emergency flashers were more noticeable. You can sign up to beta test, and download the new software now..
