Well the Van is mostly for my girls and they love colrful funky stuff, besides is just duct tape, so is no big deal to take it off..

Shortly after getting my first diesel, I came within a trigger pull from filling my tank with gasoline once. The nozzle was in and ready to fuel before I glanced once more at the price for regular unleaded... and then diesel..
well so you understand my fear..

Look into the hutch and harpoon mods for your 7.3. Especially with it being a van with a metal tank, you want to address the fuel delivery weaknesses if it hasn't already been done.
I'm already looking for a place where i can drop the tank and do everything that needs to be done..

So far i'm sure the police will not be to happy if they catch me drooping a tank right on the street but I'm on it reading about the procedures..

Hm I’ve never worked on a 7.3 van before but I’m sure there’s a way somehow. I think I used a 3 in extension when I did mine and a ratchet wrench but then again was on a truck

I looked up a little and most people said they did it by feel. Sounds better to delete the fuel bowl than having to deal with that again....

I think I found a answer, you take it from the dog house side, but you need to take the turbo to get to it, loads of work but at least you can see what you are doing..

I was going to suggest pulling the turbo to get at it from the back end but it’s quite a bit of work. I’m about to pull mine tomorrow. It’s not terribly hard and should be a lot easier for you because you can look at the collector and realign it.

Tell that to my Ex, in the old house I had space to park ten trucks..

The tear down of the bowl is going slow but is going forward, I decide to clean the dirt and soil and examine some of the rust near the dog house floor boards (more than I was specting.)

Took the air intake and that give me a ton of space *I can fin my hand, but not really move it around, but by tomorrow I hope to have it all done

The videos on youtube are very helpful since I can not see the bowl at least with the videos I get a general idea of where the parts are located..

I have a lot of admiration for you van drivers. Your determination and dedication leans toward the side of insanity at times.

Unless you are changing up-pipes, then it is a 15 minute job.
