I have a 2001 excursion and I can't remember keyless entry # and I've misplaced the card. I read that the code is on the module but I can't find the module. Is it inside the door where i would need to remove the door panel to access it, or is it behide the cowling/kick plate just to the left of the emergency brake lever? thanks to who ever can help, Charlie
Your dealer can more than likely tell you. But my guess is they'll tell you for a price. If by "module" you're reffering to the computer that controls the engine and other parts of your X, it is indeed to the left of the parking brake.
I read that the acronym was called a RAP ( remote antitheft personility) module which works off the GEM. I've easily found the GEM but it does not have any 5 digit code on it. Wheres the RAP if there really is such a thing? Thanks for all the responses, Charlie
