windows/courtesy lights quit working
I am at a loss, whoever owned my truck previously, had installed a b/u camera in the upper cab brake light(drilled hole thru it). The camera wiring runs above the headliner to the upper console where the screen is mounted. Since I usually have a topper on it I wanted the camera in the back of that. So I installed a new upper brake light/cargo light lens in the cab. and removed the upper console outer shell (tried to remove the inner shell but did not get it yet) needed to drive it so reinstalled console.
Now the interior lights, cargo lights and windows quit working and the radio now turns off as soon as the ignition is off (instead of turning off when door is opened).
I have a 2002 wiring diagram not a 2001, checked all fuses under dash and in power dist box. I can find no hardwired relation between the courtesy light and windows on the diagram. Although I do believe the window and courtesy light must have something in common thru the battery saver relay and/or the interior lamp relay, I cant find it.
Hoping the a fore-mentioned relays are not the problem, since I have read they are not replaceable, is there a definitive way to check them? or does anyone else have any other ideas?
