If you are serious on getting the remington model 7 then I spoke with my brother and he can get one to you stainless/synthetic in the 7mm-08 caliber for $580, a .308 would be similar in price. If you are out of state there would be no tax and they would require a copy of a valid ffl license from a local dealer shipping would be $25 +/-.
Someone mentioned they can get them for $375-$430 I mentioned this to my father and brother and they said give a location and price cause they are coming to get them. Later
That's not a bad price, I'll keep you in mind. I need to look at other rifles and hell, he may decide he wants a snowboard for Christmas. We'll see. Thanks for looking for me. That's already $100 cheaper than I've found elsewhere.
Wahoo
They could probably beat that if you want a used or something else for that matter, well I know they could. They usually stay competetive with wal-mart even due to the fact that wal-mart can purchase things in a volume which a small business cannot thus cheap prices, then again they usually meet or beat their prices. They have another local gun shop employee come in and buy all the time. Thats the funniest thing I have heard. They get people in that say oh wal-mart is cheaper, then a couple days later they come in and buy it. ha ha. Again not trying to sell them or anything but if you have any questions they are more than happy to help out and they might be able to get you a better deal on something. Keeping them in mind, would be appreciated. Further questions, e-mail me or post on here under a current post so as I will get notification, Later
i would get him a ruger 77 all weather ,they weight 6-8 ibs and have a wide ranger of calibers, you don't need a cannon, start out small, like a 22-250 or even a 223, the 223 will do just about anything a 12 year old hunter needs to do
Tell them to check out Zanders sporting goods. They are 100% wholesale only and have the M7 for 389.95. Now I do realize that dealers must make a profit, but DARN.
REW
Well you got my quriosity how did you get a price out of the consumer section? I checked the website and couldn't find any listings. I did tell them about zanders they do buy from them. No big thing either way, its like buying a car no matter what you pay or the deal you get someone knows where one was or is cheaper, small businesses don't make money of new products it comes from trade ins. Definitely check Zanders out if your in the market. Later
I'm looking at Flyer 8/2003, I get them in the mail once a month. Checking Zanders web site really don't help much, they are wholesale only. But it is nice to know what the dealer paid, don't ya think? Let me give an example. I looked at a shotgun today
That one. They guy wants 265 bux. Not bad right? But go here and see what he paid + shipping of course.
Actually it does help... because you know how far you can work them. Without making them not make a profit
Ive got a 425 dollar gun for 225 once...
I wanted it, but wasnt gonna pay that much for it, left, he dropped the price, then I waited and offered 225 for it
My favorite manufacturer for low-budget, reliable rifles is still Ruger. The 10/22 is a great gun for the money, and the Mini-14 is great if you need a little more Kaboom.
why the link won't work but if you "cut and past" it will. I rather like knowing what the dealer is paying. When I was a firearms dealer I would show people what I had to pay, I got a lot of repeat customers. But I got zoned out. Oh well, if I knew as much about trucks as I do about firearms, I could tell ya what a new F150 cost the dealer.
Fellows you have good points, you should go into any situation being as informed as possible. I feel that maybe the conversation we are heading down isn't one I should participate in because we are looking at things from two different perspectives and neither of us are wrong. My hole point is when it comes to a small business and new products they aren't making in most cases the money you suspect they are. And I get your points you do have to look out for your best interest. Now I am gonna try and throw you all off the subject. Are you fellows familiar with a "baeowolf" (not spelled correctly, similar to the book I believe) rifle?
Never heard of the rifle.
I didnt mean they were making a killing off of the guns on new stuff.
I just meant you can talk em down a bit sometimes
The gun I got for 225 was new, but a guy sold it to him w/o ever firing it because some stuff came up
